A Morning to Knead, Create & Connect: Join Rebbetzin Chayala Markovits at the Chabad Lake House Pop-Up on Thursday, July 9th to learn the art of challah baking and connect with the Lake Oconee community.

A Morning of Connection at the Lake

Take a beautiful lakeside morning to slow down, create something with your own hands, and connect with friends and neighbors. Join us at the Chabad Lake House Pop-Up for an immersive, hands-on Challah Bake led by Rebbetzin Chayala Markovits.

The Experience

Whether you are a seasoned baker or have never baked a loaf in your life, this morning is for you. We will supply all the ingredients and walk you through the entire process step-by-step. You will mix, knead, and learn beautiful techniques to braid your own traditional challah, which you will then take home to bake fresh for the weekend. As the dough rises, Chayala will share meaningful insights and words of inspiration to uplift your week.

The Details

Join us on Thursday, July 9th at 10:00 AM.

(Note: We are also hosting a second Challah Bake on July 16th! You are warmly invited to join us for just one morning, or register for both. If you'd like to attend both, please be sure to RSVP on both event pages).

This event is offered completely free of charge to the community. If you would like to partner with us in bringing these experiences to Lake Oconee, we invite you to include a contribution with your RSVP. The suggested donation is $18, and full Event Sponsorships are available for $180. Your generosity helps cover the cost of supplies and makes this summer residency possible.
